The Core Health Assessment combines a comprehensive annual review with targeted diagnostics so we can see exactly where you are on the health spectrum—and measure how your plan is working over time.

What's Included:

  • Review of your Core Panel labs
  • EKG (electrocardiogram) for cardiac rhythm & baseline
  • SphygmoCor (central blood pressure & arterial stiffness)
  • DEXA for body composition and/or bone density
  • 24-hour ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor) when indicated
  • Personalized plan adjustments based on results

Many of these tests are available to REV Members at no additional cost. We’ll bill insurance when applicable.

Why the Core Health Assessment Matters

  • Sets a true baseline: Precise data from heart, vessels, metabolism, and body composition create your starting point.
  • Targets the right levers: We focus treatment where the data says it matters most (hormones, cardio-metabolic, bone, recovery, etc.).
  • Tracks outcomes—not guesses: Repeat the same measures to see if protocols are actually moving the needle.
  • Catches issues early: Subtle changes in central blood pressure, bone density, or cardiac rhythm often show before symptoms do.
  • Builds a smarter plan: Your results shape lab follow-ups, nutrition, training, supplements, peptides, and medication strategy.

What's in the Core Health Assessment

Core Panel Lab Review

We interpret your Core Panel and connect it to symptoms and goals, then adjust your plan.

Learn more: Core Panel

EKG (electrocardiogram)

A quick, noninvasive snapshot of your heart’s electrical activity to detect rhythm issues and establish a baseline for future comparisons.

Learn more: EKG overview

SphygmoCor (Central Blood Pressure)

Beyond the arm cuff: central pressures and arterial stiffness correlate more closely with cardiovascular risk than peripheral readings. Great for nuanced hypertension and prevention plans.

Learn more: Central BP

DEXA: Body Composition

Gold-standard measure of fat, lean mass, and visceral fat—far more precise than scales or calipers. Excellent for tracking training, weight loss, and metabolic health.

Learn more: DEXA body comp

Notes: DEXA uses low-dose X-rays. We order components based on your history, risk, and goals to maximize value and minimize unnecessary testing.

DEXA: Bone Density

Screens for osteopenia/osteoporosis and helps guide prevention and treatment. Especially important with age, hormone changes, or fracture risk.

Learn more: Bone density

Notes: DEXA uses low-dose X-rays. We order components based on your history, risk, and goals to maximize value and minimize unnecessary testing.

24-Hour ABPM

Around-the-clock blood pressure monitoring gives a truer picture than in-clinic readings—helps confirm or rule out hypertension and tailor treatment.

How It Works

  1. Pre-visit: Complete/update your medical chart and Core Panel labs.
  2. On-site testing: We perform the appropriate components (EKG, SphygmoCor, DEXA; ABPM if indicated).
  3. Integrated review: We interpret results with your symptoms and goals.
  4. Plan update: You’ll leave with clear next steps—nutrition, training, medications, supplements, peptides, and follow-up labs.
  5. Track progress: We re-measure on cadence to ensure your plan is actually working.

Who Benefits Most

  • Anyone starting or upgrading a REV Core plan
  • Persistent fatigue, weight change, or metabolic concerns
  • Hypertension/borderline BP, especially with variable home readings
  • Hormone therapy (TRT/HRT) wanting objective body-comp tracking.
  • Bone health risk (age, family history, prior fractures, low hormones)
  • Athletes and high performers optimizing training and recovery

Cost & Coverage

  • Included for REV Members: Many test components are available at no additional cost to you as a member.
  • We bill insurance for eligible items when applicable.
  • Cash-friendly: Excellent cash prices are available; we’ll review options with you.
  • If insurance declines certain assessment items, we don’t bill you for those specific components.

FAQs

Is this only for REV Core?

It’s designed around the REV Core membership because of the expanded review time and assessment components. If you’re in REV Access and need this depth, ask us about upgrading.

Do I need all components every year?

Not always. We tailor the assessment to your risk, goals, and prior results. Some parts (like DEXA body comp) are useful more than once per year when actively changing body composition.

Does DEXA involve radiation?

Yes, but at a very low dose. It’s widely considered safe for monitoring body composition and bone health when medically appropriate.

What if my BP is “normal” in clinic but high at home?

We may use ABPM to get a true 24-hour picture and rule out white-coat or masked hypertension.

Will my insurance cover it?

We bill insurance for eligible items when applicable. Many components are included for REV Members at no extra cost; we’ll review your specific situation before testing.
